Hello Internet,

I have trouble with any underwear I ever owned. I am wearing XXL or size 8 underwear but they tend to make me uncomfortable in different matters.

Waering loose Boxershorts is okay to my wiener but my balls are to free. Also they tend to crawl upwards during the day.

Tighter Shorts have a good appearance and are my main underwear. But I struggle with them as well: My thing turtles uncomfortably making me insane so I can pull it into position. Also, they tend to screw at the bottom after half an year.

Asking this within my circles only earns sarcastic comments or the experience isn’t shared. So I ask you: How do I determine the correct underwear for me and am I missing something? If you relate and have solved this issue, please recommend me some underwear.

// Edit:

Thank you for all the recommendations and input. I wasn’t aware of the pouch feature. Researched all suggested brands and:

Ordered from overseas:

  • SAXX
  • BN3TH

Currently not deliverable:

  • Step One

Lululemon does have a store in the city, so I will go there next week to try those on.

This is a message to all straight guys: buy gay underwear!

Get yourself on Andrew Christian, Box, or Aussiebum, or any of the other underwear sites that cater to gay men. We have styles of underwear you wouldn’t believe. Yes there’ll be rainbows on a bunch of them, but there’s plenty that are more “reserved”.

BUT, what we do have is a wide range of styles that are comfortable and sexy. We have underwear that separates your cock from your balls, which are really comfortable. We have styles that allow you to show off, or act demure. We have boxer shorts that have freaking pockets!

And because the queer community largely (not always, but we’re working on it) accepts all body types, we even cater to larger guys who need a little more room in their smalls.

Seriously boys, get yourself some sexy gay undies. Your junk, and your partners, will thank you.

It never for one second occurred to me that a gay me could have a wider choice of underwear than a straight me currently does. Firing up the private browser tab as we speak - thanks for the info.

I was about to say something similar. Like I started wearing some “women’s” underwear and running shorts even before I realized I wasn’t a guy. Obviously for people that aren’t trying to hide things I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it, but some of the underwear I have now is just better than tons men’s underwear I wore pre-transition. Just materials, and seam placement, and color options, all of it. You can still find boxers and everything. It’s kind of just better.

I did a thing a couple years ago where I dropped about $500 buying every style of boxer brief that looked appealing or had a strong fanbase. I tried saxx, Duluth, all citizens, meundies, bn3th, Mac Weldon, Lululemon, Tommy John, separatec, and probably a few others.

All Citizens are my winner overall - the BN3TH are also really nice - I actually like their cuts and design better, but the materials don’t hold up nearly as well as the All Citizens. All Citizens are also much better value, IMO.

For the All Citizens, I’m specifically talking about their Paradise Pocket boxer briefs. My legs are proportionally beefy in comparison to my waist, so it’s also nice that All Citizens offer an “Athletic Fit” option that keeps the legs from being overly tight. Just snug enough not to ride up without pinching or leaving a visible line visible through pants.

    SAXX

They are pricey but totally worth it. They last a long time, are very comfortable and have a pouch for your stuff. You can usually find deals on their website for things like discontinued holiday prints. I don’t really care what mine look like so I wear a lot of Christmas themed boxer briefs. I’d recommend the Vibe.

I moved trom Saxx to Bn3th because I found they stretched out less over time and thus last longer.

Design wise they’re practically identical to Saxx.

Got my BN3TH trunks from overseas today. I divided my 104 cm by 2.38 instead of 2.54. And therefore I ordered XXL. They fit perfectly but my trunk may be too small… sadbutshrugs

Sitting down was already clearing my first problem. I will wear them over the weekend since I will sit for an extended time and will move a lot as well.

Initially, the cuts on the back are bad for my butt; But this may due to the very loose size I got and may change once washed at 40°C.

I will report back after the weekend + after the next load on my washing machine with an edit. Thank you, Sir.

        // Edit:

Since I did an follow-up post I need to clarify:

By a very loose cut I mean that the material has room to stretch. The BN3TH shorts have a bezieré cut on the back which compliments the men’s butt. They fit tightly but the cut is too loose, meaning I could benefit from it if I ordered the correct size. XL would align perfectly on both sides.

These undies are for Showers but Gainers. After receiving SAXX undies I recommend those for the latter - like me.

My friend, it’s like searching for true love. You’re going to have to go out there and spend the money and try on different styles until you find the right one.

Am I the only person that actually wants an openable fly in their boxer-briefs? All these companies these days willing to make 2 distinct pockets for balls and shaft but won’t let me poke out for fresh air or a bathroom trip without having to deal with the waistband drive me nuts. My cock didn’t commit any crimes, I don’t want to force it into solitary confinement…

The worst part is I found my perfect underwear several years back and the company has basically disappeared. They had a sort of soft and loose-ish horizontal fly that basically revolutionized my relationship with my crotch and I can’t find more :(

I relate to this so much. I hate when I get a pair with A grundle pouch but no gate to let it out. I’m not an over the top type of guy.

Got myself some StepOne boxers, best undies I’ve ever owned no questions asked. Miles better than anything else I’ve worn, I’m incapable of going back to lesser pants now. They are made with bamboo fiber, have a low friction glide panel between your legs and have a pouch for the junk to sit in. They aren’t cheap but worth every penny in my opinion.

I have a similar issue that the package often goes backward, if that makes sense. It’s so uncomfortable if it happens after taking a seat in a meeting so you can’t fix it. My solution is to purchase boxer briefs from those fetish brands. They usually carry a product line that pushes up the package. I don’t need the visual appeal but the design groups everything to the front, so they have nowhere else to go. Then you just choose a size that the pouch is just big enough.

Boxer briefs are the best of both worlds. Not too tight like a regular brief underwear, not too loose like boxer shorts, and still has adequate ball support.

Have you tried boxer briefs? It’s the best of both worlds. There really aren’t that many different options, just try a few more and see how you feel.

Try different brands as well, they all feel different. In addition to different brands, they each have different sub types based on what material used.
