  • Wasn’t considering lasik, and now never will after watching final destination 5 (if you know what I’m talking about)

And I didn’t even watch the actual scene, I had to cover my eyes and skip forward and even the hearing the dialogue before and after made me feel like… Ewwww I hated it.

Idk why I even watched these movies, I should’ve just read the wiki and noped out.

  • In a Chinese mythology story, there was a story about one upon a time, there being 10 suns (as in dieties), which each taking turns to be in the sky. One day, all 10 just decided to hang out in the sky simultsneously. So they send someone with a bow and arrows to shoot down 9 of the suns.

What if Japan is just one of the 9 suns that were shot with an arrow, and survived and transformed into land? 🤔

  • I mean, even work is politics, wages and safety and benefits.

Going shopping is political. Prices are directly tied to politics.

Need to replace broken electronics? Welp, tariffs and its 200% the original cost.

Everything is politics, its impossible to avoid.

Done hobby? Hey what do you know, DJI is soon about to be banned in the USA for perceived “nationak security” issue. Politics.

Want to jerk off? Welp your state banned porn because it went againt some religion. Politics here again.

Lets just eat food. Oh no, the food regulators got fired because of “wokeness” and now you get food poisoning. Politics.

  • I mean with physical access.

    People living with you.

Or when you want to travel (domestically).

Someone who doesn’t need much experience can access the hard drive / SSD and replace the bootloader.

I know it probably doesn’t happen often, but this is more of a personal fear thing, I have trust issues with people.

Living alone is too expensive and thus I either have to stick with family, or split rent with random strangers as roommates, not to mention, some landlords can be creepy and do weird things. I don’t have trusted friends who can like live with me as a roomate and split the rent.

So anyways, I’m with parents, and I want evil-maid protections for peace of mind, since I can’t afford to live alone. (I mean like they are not dangerous criminals or anything like that, they’re just fucking nosey and I don’t like to find out how much do they want to spy on my online activities).

For phones, its already too locked-down and hard to modify so I’ll just trust the verified boot to do it’s job.

For computers, its too easy to edit the bootloader on the disk. So I think putting the botloader on such an encrypted USB and put it in read-only mode would protect against tampering with the bootloader.

I probably sound paranoid af right?

Basically, my threat model prioritizes preventing weirdos fucking with my electronics more than anyone else.

  • Go to settings, scroll down to delete. Make sure you check “Delete Posts and Comments”

Comments should get auto-overwritten with “deleted by creator” (you can actually see the edit logo whete you wouldn’t otherwise see with a normal delete) then it gets deleted which would also show the same “deleted by creator” text, but I don’t think posts also get overwritten, they just get deleted. Images are locally stored on the instance so they should all be gone when it deletes.

You could also try a script, I never tested any.

There is probably a high likelihood of there being at least one instance that will refuse the deletion federation.

For the future, assume all Posts/Comments are public forever and just use Tor. Privacy doesn’t exist on a public forum, you goal should instead be anonymity, not privacy.

Assuming the lemm.ee admins delete the entire servers when it shuts down, any IP logs should be gone unless someone (admins or hosting servers) kept a copy of the logs.
