That would be cool. Closest I have is just a pinned link via Firefox.
Will talk about Linux, plants, space, retro games, and anything else I find interesting.

I’ve had more luck finally throwing docker on it and letting it sit on an excising yunohost.
I have a couple of hundred RSS feeds. It has worked well past 15+ years.
The internet comes to me rather than the other way around.
Some RSS feeds that are fun:
https://questionablecontent.net/ - very long running comic.
https://www.kevinandkell.com/ - one of the most consistent oldest webcomic.
Royal road also has RSS feed support.
What I use: https://freshrss.org/ it’s kinda like Google reader back in the day.
Like 95% of my games now just target SD. Its so easy to work. And it works with emulation, its very open.
Sure! Truthfully, unless it’s dead simple I’m going to let others host.
I tried getting it setup but it didn’t want to work on my system. The docker container didn’t work with some errors and the docs seem like they need a bit of work. I love piefed, but if it takes more than a weekend to setup then I personally don’t have enough time.
Great software though.
I’m starting to see mastodon users on my tiny pixelfed server. It’s such a good feeling.
On the sad side, my Lemmy update went south and I had to remove it off my setup. Still looking for a good replacement for max two users. Something dirt simple like GoToSocial turned out to be.
Same. It feels more personal.
The PC port is sooo buggy :(.
That was my first thought. Mods found out how much power they actually had when reddit forced all subreddits open when the API debacle occurred. Wondering if some of the defaults or smaller communities will even get a shot at saying no.
That’s terrible…
Just fyi there is some good publishers like baen that still support and don’t plan on removing ebook format downloads.
I do my part! (Throw a couple of PRS the devs way then go back to my goblin hole)
I wince when I hear people talk about putting everything on signal. It’s like, you know if your using Google keyboard on Android, Apple devices, servers to transfer the data, and many others are listening in.
Always assume they can and will identify you in real life. It doesn’t mean give away your real name, just act accordingly.
Things that are legal now may not be legal in the future. Or in other places. Online interactions are not except from this rule.
Aww I didn’t know about the trans thing :(
I remember there were reddit-likes too, they just didnt work with fediverse. And were mostly…well almost all were unsavory. Like they were ONLY populated with people reddit didnt want anymore. Communities with banned content. So not the greatest.
Im glad lemmy/piefed/kbin and all other activityhub/fediverse alternatives are out there.
Artists (Capital ART) are on the fediverse. Things and art I have never seen before.
There are makers that are truly doing things that are super awesome. Building machines/automation that are helping out their lives. You can find these things on the open web as well, but not as “free” (IE locked behind some sort of wall).
I met someone on a pixelfed server that works over at the Monterey Bay Aquarium for example just looking at photos. Its awesome!!
Also it feels like its filled with real people.
Nope just server
