  • Jellyfin is the way. Costs nothing other than the hardware needed and nobody is selling anything about you.

Our personal streaming library with Jellyfin is bigger than any public service and we can add to it from VHS, DVD, Blueray, though extra equipment was required for the VHS/Blueray.

It’s also available anywhere we go and we can set up separate accounts for different family members. There’s even a phone app.

  • Those are very fair criticisms.

I think Meidas is trying to get the message out to the folks who are sub-sixth grade English skills and therefore they use more emotional content to connect with the folks who are…less intellectual/less able to really understand the depth of what is going on from a reading perspective. They also try to appeal to the Gen Z audience, which is definitely annoying but also necessary.

They do these things because that is where the left’s messaging fails- at emotional people, at Gen Z, and at lower education levels.

Aaron Parnas is doing a good job, and is a lot less emotional on his TikTok and Substack. He may be a good resource as well.

  • Brain organoids have been around for a while. You can even rent their processing power.

They have issues, including a hard limit to their lifetime and growth potential. And the ethics involved shouldn’t be underestimated.

They can and have been wired up to animals and when they do- they start vascularizing and growing and influencing the organism they are attached to.

As an organoid, they probably lack the majority of things that would cause suffering- but we have used this “logic” to torture humans and animals in the past, so I am not fully convinced.

I am also extremely interested in what these organoids can eventually lead to- but we need to not judge based on clickbait articles and use actual science and ethics to proceed.
