  • First off- yes, this scab deserves what they get.

But, assume for one second that the “leaked manifesto” is legit. Then the point is was to get caught and go to trial. The gambit is jury nullification in this matter would remove the disincentive for this to happen again. When a capitalist gets too greedy and they create a substantial risk that you will be similarly dealt with and the local community will sanction it.

It just occurred in the reverse ideological context with Jordan Neely’s death (murder). In that context, NYC mental health workers are concerned it is now “open season” on their clients. Here, it would be open season on their capitalist class.

Other than the rapid growth of the personal security industry. I would expect to see further concentration of wealth into specific areas to create jury pools that would be stacked in favor of protecting capital. Either that or the criminal justice system will collapse.

To tie back into the post, assuming this was intentional, then if it wasn’t McSnitch it was just a matter of time till someone else ratted. I guess the real disappointment is that the reward was so low when they did. Shows how disorganized the labor class really is.

  • Find out what level offense this is in your state. Likely is not a crime (misdemeanor or felony) but a violation for the first offense.

If it is a misdemeanor, get a public defender and ask for a plea to a lesser charge.

There is likely a standard plea offer for all similarly situated charges/defendants. It may change depending on whether you have renewed your license. If that’s the case you can ask for additional time to renew. That will buy you another court date but give you a chance to get a better resolution if you fix the issue.

Dress like you would for church or a job interview.

Make sure your cellphone is on silent (and if you think it could ring by accident just turn your phone off when in court)
