    I understood it more as Musk betraying his previous fanbase. Those that used to think that he was a positive force, investing in cool things. Before he revealed himself as a deranged asshole.

      Same. Dude started off on the semblance-of-sanity side and then betrayed logic and science in multiple stunning acts of pure idiocy.
